Winged Messenger

You have got to admire the beauty and simplicity of 'Grecian' style. Washed out whites and golds, woven sandals and ornate headbands made of green vines and gold leaves (if you want to take the style to the extreme). Thinking about it makes me want to go and watch Clash of the Titans (both versions, old and new) and Disney's Hercules

Hello world, I'm your wild girl...

Hello world, I'm your wild girl...

I love The Runaways film. It stars two of my favourite actresses, Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning, who star as the young Joan Jett and Cherie Currie in the all girl rock band which kick-started Jett's career. If you want to know more about the film then take a look here. But on here you will find my Runaways inspired look, black leather look leggings, black studded bags, cuff bracelets, bad girl make up, bright Converse and aviator sunglasses

Paleontology

Paleontology

I found this t-shirt whilst browsing Topshop; it caught my eye because of the really cool dinosaur print! It makes me want to go back to London to visit the Natural History Museum again, and it reminds me of an old school picture book that is filled with hand drawn illustrations that go alongside the text. I would definitely wear it with my beige River Island jeans, which are a favourite at the moment as they are comfier than most jeans and are a bit more fit for Summer than a dark denim. I love all the semi-precious rock rings that are on trend at the moment, as you can wear them as a statement piece but they are still pretty bits of jewellery. Also, it is nice to know that each rock is slightly different to the others of its kind so what you have is unique in it's own way. I have included another item that I would love to own and that is the Urban Decay Naked palette. My sister owns it and the colours are so lovely; I personally prefer nude eye shadows so this set would be perfect for me as I would use them all. It is quite hard to get a hold of so if you spot it then I recommend you snap it up quickly!

Hard To Explain

Hard To Explain

I've been listening the The Strokes a lot lately, and have just got the new album which I can't wait to get familiar with (i have to play new albums a good few times to get into). I havn't listened to them in years so I was quite suprised at how excited I was when I found out they had new material on the way. Strangely enough I was looking through the Wildfox website when I came across this cute pink t-shirt, and it instantly reminded me of the dinosaur in the Hard To Explain video! Im so easily amused... But anyway, I would wear it with black skinnys, my favourite buckle boots, a few statement rings and a slouchy leather bag. Pop on a pair of wayfarers and you would be good to go for a casual, relaxed day. I have used this Benefit palette in a look before but I can't stress how great they are for when you really don't want to leave the house without any make up on but haven't really got the time/energy to spend on beautifying yourself. Benefit palettes have it all set out for you, they are quick and easy to apply and you are left with a lovely, effortless look. The perfume is Diesel's Fuel For Life, which I use for day; it is a fresh fragrance with notes of blackcurrant, jasmine, mandarin and patchouli

i ♥ Drew Barrymore

I love Drew Barrymore. I admire her down to earth/I don't care what people think attitude and I adore her relaxed, indie girl style. The current 'ombre' hair trend suits her perfectly, and she is one of the reasons why I decided to go ahead and dip dye my own. At the moment I am enjoying watching anything with Drew in, which is great because she has a good back log of films! I have really been in the mood for watching Ever After, but my copy has gone missing since I recently had a spring clean and it just does not want to be found! Moving on to the outfit post, this slouchy Mickey Mouse top would go lovely with skinny jeans or denim shorts on a day where you are feeling a little more casual. I own a pair of leopard print loafers from River Island, they are made of a softer fabric to the ones here but I couldn't find mine on the website. The perfume is my all time favourite, Alexander McQueen's Kingdom; the packaging is a classic white box with the red McQ seal and the bottle is a red glass heart. The fragrance is quite a masculine and woody one, with notes of sandalwood, bergamot and a hint of vanilla ♥

Cleopatra

Cleopatra

I was so sad today when I found out that Elizabeth Taylor had passed away :( I admit I haven't seen many of her films but I absolutely love her in Cleopatra. It sort of annoys me how critics have said that hers isn't an 'accurate' portrayal of the Queen of Egypt, because that isn't the reason I want to watch the film! I watch it for Taylor's alluring screen presence, her stunning costumes and the beautiful sets. She is so fascinating to watch in Cleopatra and I would recommend it to anyone who is into fashion and costume, or just wants to watch a beautiful film. This is my small tribute to her, I am sure she will be greatly missed.

Tragic Kingdom

Tragic Kingdom

I love Gwen Stefani's style - especially from her No Doubt days, the Tragic Kingdom era in particular, where she mixed her super girly style with a tom-boy edge! I came across the skirt from this look on the Topshop website and it instantly reminded me of the iconic navy polka-dot tea dress that she wears in the 'Don't Speak' video, so pretty! Also in the video she wears some black band friendship bracelets, which are very on-trend at the moment. I also included these River Island brown buckle boots, which I own and wear all the time as they can be dressed up or down, lovely!

Star Gazing

At the moment I am really into pretty night skies and star gazing after we had the beautiful super moon, and I have been watching Wonders of the Universe and Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End; I love the scene where the crew travel to the ends of the earth to retrieve Jack Sparrow from Davy Jones' Locker, the starry skies are so lovely! I am also in love with the Brightness Dawn collection by Setareh Mohtarez, which I came across whilst trawling through fashion blogs online and was amazed at her beautiful starry, galaxy-inspired prints and stunning structured dresses!

Velvet Goldmine

Velvet Goldmine
My first Polyvore, inspired by my new black buckle boots! When I put them on they get me in the mood for pirate-esque things like the Pirates of the Carribbean films and the song Velvet Goldmine by David Bowie, which sounds quite pirate-y to me!
